UFC on Fox 7 Drug Tests Negative for the Six Fighters Tested
The drug test results from UFC on Fox 7: Henderson vs. Melendez have come in and they’re all negative.
The California State Athletic Commission on Tuesday confirmed that six athletes were tested at UFC on Fox 7, which took place on April 20 at the HP Pavilion in San Jose, Calif.
The six athletes tested included the main event and co-main event fighters – Benson Henderson, Gilbert Melendez, Daniel Cormier, and Frank Mir – and two other random fighters. The CSAC declined to name the two randomly selected fighters.
The fighters were tested both for performance enhancing substances and drugs of abuse.
Henderson successfully defended his UFC lightweight championship in the night’s main event on Fox, while Cormier won a unanimous decision over Mir.
