UFC Fight Night 67 Weigh-in Results: Condit and Alves on the Mark for Main Event Dust Up

UFC on FOX 21 Early Weigh-in Results: Maia vs. Condit is Official; One Fighter Misses Weight

The Ultimate Fighting Championship is in Goiânia, Brazil, this week for UFC Fight Night 67: Condit vs. Alves. The main event features welterweights Carlos Condit and Thiago Alves going head to head in a five-round non-title bout.

No. 4 ranked Condit is making his return to the Octagon after more than a year on the sidelines. He suffered a torn anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) and partially torn meniscus in his last fight that required surgery.

Alves currently sits at No. 12, having won two fights during the time that Condit sat out. That followed a two-year span that Alves had to deal with injuries and surgeries, so he's not that far removed from having to deal with his career being shelved, as well.

Both men are looking to this fight as a stepping stone back into title contention, hoping to get a shot at the winner of July's UFC 189 bout between welterweight champion Robbie Lawler and challenger Rory MacDonald.
