Tre Mason says he won't need surgery

Former Auburn running back Tre Mason refuted a report stating he needed offseason wrist surgery.

Early Friday afternoon, NFL.com reported that Mason needed the surgery and would do after the draft. Mason then took to twitter, stating he won't be having any kind of surgery whatsoever.

"False information, I WILL NOT be having any surgery to anything on my body!" Mason wrote.

He added in a later tweet, "Once again. I WILL NOT be having any type of surgery on my body! Well and healthy. Media is trying to paint a picture!"

Mason is regarded as the best running back in this year's draft class. He ran for 1,816 yards and 23 touchdowns in 2013.

Mason's immediate denial is interesting to say the least. After all, he'd know if he's having surgery or not.
