Titans tight end Barden arrested for DUI

Tennessee Titans tight end Brandon Barden was arrested on Saturday for driving under the influence in Eastern Georgia.

A Lincoln County Sheriff's report says the 23-year-old Barden lost control of a truck carrying two other passengers on Feb. 23 and crashed into a ditch in Lincolnton, Ga. The report says the accident occurred sometime before 4:30 a.m., when Barden lost control of the vehicle and hit a ditch drain before the car flipped over, landing on its side.

According to the incident report, the reporting officer said he could "smell a strong odor of alcohol" coming from Barden, who refused field sobriety testing.

Barden, a Lincoln County native, was charged with DUI on refusal and was booked into the jail. He has since been released on bond.

Barden was signed by the Titans in 2012 as an undrafted free agent and played in three games. He played college football at Vanderbilt.
