Titans KR Mariani breaks leg vs. Arizona

Titans' return man Marc Mariani fractured his left fibula on a punt return in the first quarter of Thursday's preseason game with the Arizona Cardinals.

Mariani was carted off the field with an air cast on his left leg. He was injured on a 14-yard punt return.

He was replaced by former Vikings and Giants returner Darius Raynaud.

Mariani averaged 23.4 yards per kickoff return and 10.7 yards per punt return, including a 79-yard touchdown, in 2011. He was named to the Pro Bowl as a rookie in 2010, he scored return touchdowns on a kickoff (98 yards) and punt (87).
