Timberwolves' Rubio may return Saturday

Minnesota Timberwolves guard Ricky Rubio is expected to return soon after recovering from his March surgery to repair his torn anterior-cruciate ligament, but he is not scheduled to play Wednesday against the Denver Nuggets.

Rubio is not likely to make his season debut in Friday's game against New Orleans, either, according to the Minneapolis Star Tribune, because it is the first of back-to-back games.

It means Saturday's game against Dallas is the likely target for Rubio's return to action.

Rubio has been practicing with the team for a while.
