Steelers sign QB Gradkowski

In need of a backup to quarterback Ben Roethlsiberger, the Steelers signed Bruce Gradkowski to a three-year deal Wednesday morning, according to ESPN.

The 30-year-old Gradkowski played for the Bengals last season. He did not throw a pass but brings seven years of NFL experience to Pittsburgh after a career spent with Tampa Bay, Cleveland, Oakland and then Cincinnati.

Steelers quarterbacks Charlie Batch and Byron Leftwich are both unrestricted free agents.
