Source: Bears try out Christian Thompson
The Chicago Bears worked out former Baltimore Ravens safety Christian Thompson this week, according to a league source.
He wasn't immediately signed to a contract, though
Thompson tried out for the Oakland Raiders in December.
Thompson is a former Ravens fourth-round draft pick from South Carolina State.
He spent two seasons with the Ravens prior to being released earlier this year after serving a four-game suspension for violating the NFL substance-abuse policy.
He played in seven games as a rookie with the Ravens in 2012.
Thompson began his college career at Auburn before transferring. He was an all-conference selection at South Carolina State.
