Soccer-England friendly with Honduras suspended due to lightning

MIAMI, June 7 (Reuters) - England's warmup match against fellow World Cup qualifiers Honduras was suspended due to lightning at the Sun Life Stadium on Saturday. Referee Ricardo Salazar brought the players over to the touchline after 23 minutes and decided to stop the game for a minimum of half an hour. The stadium's video screen displayed a message saying the match was being halted due to "inclement weather with associated lightning". The game will not resume until there is no lightning detected within an eight-mile radius, a stadium official said. The score was 0-0. (Reporting by Ken Ferris; editing by Tony Jimenez)
