Silver Stars 81, Sky 69

The Chicago Sky struggled without leading scorer Epiphanny Prince on Friday, suffering their first WNBA loss of the season following three straight wins.

Danielle Robinson scored 18 points, Jia Perkins and Danielle Adams each had 13 and DeLisha Milton-Jones added 10 to lead San Antonio to a 81-69 victory over the Sky at the AT&T Center.

Prince, averaging 20.7 points through three games, is away much of June competing for Russia's national team in the upcoming EuroBasket tournament.

In addition, Prince may be temporarily sidelined after suffering an ankle sprain Thursday in Russia's friendly game against China. The Sky said that further medical evaluation would determine the extent of her injury.

With Prince not available, the scoring load fell on rookie Elena Delle Donne, who scored 17 points. Allie Quigley added 14 while Sylvia Fowles collected a game-high 13 rebounds for the Sky (3-1).

Robinson hit two free throws with 3 minutes 38 seconds left in the opening quarter to give the Silver Stars (2-1) the lead for good at 13-12.

San Antonio led 22-18 after one quarter, 44-36 at halftime and 66-55 entering the final 10 minutes.

The Sky closed to within seven points three times in the final quarter, the last on Delle Donne's running bank shot with 6:03 to play. But San Antonio quickly pushed the lead back to double-digits where it remained most of the final minutes.

The teams meet again at 5 p.m. Sunday at Allstate Arena.
