Silva stops Browne in first round of UFC bout

Antonio Silva landed an overhand right to Travis Browne's jaw, jumped on him and landed several more blows before Friday nights' UFC bout was stopped at 3:27 of the first round at Target Center in Minneapolis.

"I trained two months for this fight," Silva said on ESPN.com. "I lost my first fight in the UFC."

The TKO victory improved Silva to 17-4 while giving Browne his first UFC defeat.

Browne (13-1-1) appeared to have injured his left knee before taking Silva's big blow. He began favoring the knee after missing with a right hand. The more aggressive Silva then took advantage.
