Seahawks will probably part ways with Sidney Rice

The Seattle Seahawks are expected to release receiver Sidney Rice this offseason, according to a report from NFL Network.

Rice tore his ACL during the 2013 season and was placed on injured reserve. He's slated to earn $9.7 million in 2014. The Seahawks would save $7.3 million if they released Rice.

The Seahawks have plenty of other receiving options if they decide to part ways with Rice. Percy Harvin and Doug Baldwin are viable options, though the Seahawks would also have to work on a new deal with receiver Golden Tate to keep him, too.
