Saints Beaten by Cowboys, 38-17
Drew Brees had a big night passing, but it wasn't enough to avoid an ugly loss for the Saints against the Cowboys, 38-17, in Arlington.
Brees put together a solid performance, finishing 32 for 44 with 340 yards passing, two touchdowns and one pick. Tony Romo ended up going 22 of 29 with 262 yards passing, three touchdowns and no interceptions for the Cowboys.
Khiry Robinson was a key factor for the Saints, rushing for 87 yards on eight carries in addition to two receptions for 18 yards. Jimmy Graham was a highlight, catching eight balls for 86 yards while adding a touchdown and one fumble.
The New Orleans defense surrendered 190 yards rushing and 262 passing. They got to Romo once for a sack.
Cowboys running back DeMarco Murray could not be contained, putting up 149 yards rushing and two touchdowns. Wide receiver Terrance Williams also performed well with 77 receiving yards and two touchdowns.
The Saints are at home to take on the Buccaneers (1-3) next week while the Cowboys will meet the Texans (3-1), also at home.
