Report: Streit agrees to $21 million extension with Flyers
Defenseman Mark Streit has agreed to a four-year, $21 million contract extension with the Philadelphia Flyers, TSN reported.
The Flyers acquired the rights to Streit last week from the New York Islanders in exchange for prospect Shane Harper and a fourth-round pick at the 2014 draft.
Streit can't officially sign until Philadelphia gets its salary cap situation in order. CSN Philadelphia reports that a Flyers source says the deal is "not done yet."
Streit, 35, had six goals and 21 assists in 48 games for the Islanders this past season.
