Report: Kenseth joining JGR

Matt Kenseth is set to replace Joey Logano in the No. 20 car for Joe Gibbs Racing, according to multiple reports.

JGR plans to make an announcement next Tuesday that Kenseth will join the team in 2013. Home Depot will be the car's primary sponsor, a source told ESPN.com

Logano could wind up with the No. 22 Cup team at Penske Racing. Penske Racing owner Roger Penske confirmed to ESPN over the weekend that Logano was one of several candidates for 22 and that he likely would make an announcement in time for the Sept. 16 Chase opener.

Kenseth announced in June he was leaving Roush Fenway Racing after the season. He said at the time that he had a deal with another team, but couldn't name that team, as per a clause in his contract with RFR. He had been with RFR since he entered the Cup series full time in 2000.
