Report: Giants' Jacobs unlikely to play Monday

New York Giants running back Brandon Jacobs is not likely to play Monday night's game against the Minnesota Vikings, ESPN.com reported.

Jacobs, who rushed for 106 yards on 22 carries in the Giants' loss to the Chicago Bears on Oct. 10, has been dealing with a hamstring injury.

The Giants are hurting at running back. David Wilson (neck) and Andre brown (leg) are already out. Jacobs got the call in the Giants' last game due to the injuries.

It appears Peyton Hillis, who was signed last week, will be the primary ball carrier against Minnesota. Rookie Michael Cox could also figure in the Giants' running game. Fullback John Conner might also get an expanded role from his usual blocking duties.

Jacobs missed one day of practice as a precaution and he returned Thursday. However, he was listed on the team's injury report as questionable after missing practice Saturday due to a setback.
