Report: Bulls' Rose has begun practicing

Chicago Bulls guard Derrick Rose has started participating in the team's practices, although he is not taking part in contract drills and is still a ways from playing in a game, CSNChicago.com reported.

Rose, who is recovering from a torn anterior-cruciate ligament, has participated fully in non-contact aspects of practice recently, according to the report.

The plan is to have Rose increase his workload gradually and get him familiar with his new teammates while regaining his timing.

Rose is not expected to return to game action until after the All-Star break, according to the CSNChicago.com report.
