Reds place Bray on disabled list

The Cincinnati Reds placed Bill Bray on the 15-day disabled list, retroactive to April 19, with a left groin injury.

Bray, 28, aggravated a groin injury originally suffered during spring training. The lefty allowed four runs in 2 2/3 innings this season. He'll be eligible to return in the first week of May.

The Reds recalled JJ Hoover from Triple-A Louisville to take his spot. Hoover posted a 2.00 ERA in nine innings with Triple-A Louisville.
