Payton, Vitt, Loomis attend Saints game

New Orleans Saints coaches Sean Payton and Joe Vitt and Saints general manager Mickey Loomis attended the Saint's Sunday night's game against the Chargers despite being suspended by the NFL for their alleged roles in the bounty program, NFL.com reported.

Saints quarterback Drew Brees requested that they be allowed to attend the game, because Brees was on the verge of breaking Johnny Unitas' NFL record for most consecutive games with a touchdown pass. (Brees broke the record with a TD pass in the first half).

The NFL granted the request, calling it a one-time pardon because of the game's historic circumstances.

Television cameras showed Payton in the stadium about one hour before kickoff, according to NFL.com. Vitt and Loomis were also seen together on camera.
