SAN DIEGO - Padres slugger Carlos Quentin said he reached out to Los Angeles Dodger pitcher Zack Greinke in an effort to bury their feud. "I did speak to Zack," Quentin told a group of reporters before Tuesday's game against the Milwaukee Brewers without saying when they spoke. "First, I thanked him for taking the time to speak to me. We were able to talk and have a good, productive conversation. As far as details of that conversation, that's personal." Quentin returned to the lineup Tuesday after serving an eight-game suspension resulting from the April 11 brawl between the Padres and Dodgers at Petco Park. Greinke suffered a broken collarbone during the melee when Quentin charged and collided with him near the mound after the Dodgers' right-hander hit him with a pitch. Greinke is expected to miss eight weeks. "Carlos, as you know from his previous statements, had tried to talk to Zack three or four years ago," Padres manager Bud Black said. "So I'm glad they finally talked. Better late than never."
