Orioles sign Greenberg to minor-league deal

The Baltimore Orioles signed outfielder Adam Greenberg to a minor-league contract on Thursday, according to a MASNsports.com report.

Greenberg's major-league career nearly ended seven years agao when he was hit on the head with a pitch in his first plate appearance.

The Marlins signed him in September of last season and gave him an official big-leauge at bat. He struck out against eventual National League Cy Young Award winner and knuckleballer R.A. Dickey.
