Oklahoma WR suspended after indecent exposure charge
Oklahoma suspended wide receiver Trey Metoyer indefinitely after it was reported Tuesday that the sophomore faces two felony counts of indecent exposure from two separate incidents.
Metoyer, a former five-star recruit, could receive a maximum sentence of 10 years in prison and a $20,000 fine. The Tulsa World and SoonerScoop.com cited Cleveland County District Court documents in their report of the charges against Metoyer.
"Trey has not been with us since prior to the TCU game (on Oct. 5) and at this time I do not anticipate that he will return to the team in the future," Oklahoma coach Bob Stoops said in a statement.
According to SoonerScoop.com, Metoyer exposed himself to a woman and performed a lewd act in a parking lot in Norman, Okla., on Aug. 29. He also approached another woman on Sept. 17 and allegedly exposed himself when she came out of her apartment.
The website reported that Metoyer initially denied the alleged acts but later admitted to each incident.
Metoyer had two catches for 18 years in the Sooners' first three games this season but has not played since then.
