Notre Dame Offers 2018 Four-star LB Alan Tisdale

With Mike Elko's experience in North Carolina, it was expected the Irish would make more of an effort to recruit the top defensive talent the Tar Heel State has to offer.

The Irish doubled their offer total in North Carolina today by extending scholarships to Shelby (N.C.) Rivals100 linebacker Dax Hollifield and Greensboro (N.C.) Page four-star Alan Tisdale.

Laurinburg (N.C.) Scotland County five-star running back Zamir White and Clemmons (N.C.) West Forsyth five-star defensive end KJ Henry are the other North Carolina products who hold offers from Notre Dame.

This past season as a junior, Tisdale was named to the All-USA North Carolina second-team defense by USA TODAY while leading his team to a second-straight appearance in the Class 4AA state championship.

Wake Forest was the first program to offer Tisdale in March of last year, so he is already somewhat familiar with Elko and linebackers coach Clark Lea. North Carolina, Virginia Tech, Louisville and NC State are among his other offers.

Tisdale took trips to Clemson, Georgia, North Carolina, Virginia Tech and NC State this fall.

Rivals ranks Tisdale as the No. 8 outside linebacker and the No. 136 player overall in the class. He is also the No. 7 player in North Carolina.
