April 22 (The Sports Xchange) - The Nashville Predators recalled nine players from the Milwaukee Admirals of the American Hockey League on Wednesday. Goaltenders Marek Mazanec and Magnus Hellberg; defensemen Joe Piskula, Anthony Bitetto and Johan Alm; and forwards Rich Clune, Colton Sissons, Viktor Arvidsson and Austin Watson were called up. - - The Buffalo Sabres signed forward Evan Rodrigues to a two-year, entry-level contract. The 5-foot-11, 176-pound Rodrigues recently finished his senior season at Boston University, recording 61 points (21 goals, 40 assists) while helping the Terriers advance to the championship game of the NCAA Tournament. - - The Winnipeg Jets recalled forward Nik Ehlers following the conclusion of his Quebec Major Junior Hockey League season with the Halifax Mooseheads. Ehlers, 19, completed his second season with the Mooseheads, posting 101 points (37 goals, 64 assists) in 51 games. It was the second consecutive season Ehlers posted over 100 points for Halifax. - - The Edmonton Oilers assigned center Greg Chase to the Oklahoma City Barons of the American Hockey League. Chase, 20, spent time with the Calgary Hitmen and Victoria Royals of the Western Hockey League this season, accumulating 59 points (20 goals, 39 assists) and 59 penalty minutes in 61 games.
