Nebraska honors P Sam Foltz on what would have been his senior day
Nebraska made sure to honor punter Sam Foltz in a big way in its senior day festivities on Saturday.
Foltz, a junior in 2015, was killed in a car crash with former Michigan State punter Mike Sadler in July. The team has been honoring Foltz all season and ratcheted up the tributes in what would have been the final home game of his Nebraska career.

Maryland also made a jersey with Foltz’s name and number on the back.

The team was also led out of the tunnel for the game vs. Maryland by 8-year-old Jack Johnson, who suffers from a genetic disorder. The team gave Johnson an honorary scholarship earlier in the week as part of the Make-a-Wish program.
