NBA Roundup: Pistons finalize deal with Bucks, Rockets' Jones arrested

The Detroit Pistons completed a sign-and-trade deal for guard Brandon Jennings with the Milwaukee Bucks, the Pistons announced Wednesday.

The Bucks acquired guard Brandon Knight, forward Khris Middleton and center Viacheslav Kravtsov from the Pistons in the exchange.

The 23-year-old Jennings' new contract will be for three years and more than $24 million, sources told Yahoo! Sports.

An unrestricted free agent, Jennings was seeking a big contract but appeared to be passed over until Detroit stepped up. The Pistons have been busy putting together an offseason makeover in an attempt to end their four-year playoff absence, acquiring Jennings, Josh Smith, Chauncey Billups and Luigi Datome.

Jennings averaged 17.5 points and 6.5 assists in 80 games last season for Milwaukee. He was selected by the Bucks in the first round of the 2009 NBA Draft.

Knight, picked eighth overall by the Pistons in the 2011 NBA Draft, averaged 13.1 points, 3.3 rebounds and 4.0 assists in 75 games last season.

---Houston Rockets forward Terrence Jones was arrested in Portland, Ore., for an alleged attack on a homeless person, KATU reported.

Jones was released on his own recognizance early Wednesday morning, according to Multnomah County court records. He was charged with harassment, a misdemeanor.

The incident occurred outside a downtown nightclub, Portland Police Bureau spokesman Sgt. Pete Simpson said. A police officer witnessed Jones yelling at a homeless person sleeping in a doorway, identified as 46-year-old Daniel Kellerher, to wake up before he stomped on one of the man's legs.

Kellerher had a minor injury that did not need medical attention at the scene.

---The Dallas Mavericks announced the signing of guard Devin Harris. Terms were not disclosed, but it is reportedly a three-year deal worth more than $9 million.

He is expected to vie for minutes as a backup to recently-signed point guard Jose Calderon.

Harris played for the Mavericks from 2004-08 before being dealt to the New Jersey Nets in the trade that brought Jason Kidd back to Dallas. The 30-year-old averaged 9.9 points and 3.4 assists for the Atlanta Hawks last season.

Harris has career averages of 12.8 points, 4.9 assists, 2.4 rebounds and 1.2 steals in 601 games with Dallas, New Jersey, Utah and Atlanta.
