NBA roundup: Nuggets' Gallinari out for the season
Denver Nuggets forward Danilo Gallinari suffered a season-ending knee injury during Thursday night's game against Dallas, the team announced Friday.
An MRI confirmed postgame speculation that Denver's second leading scorer has a torn anterior cruciate ligament. But tests indicated no other ligament or cartilage damage. No date for surgery was set.
Gallinari's left knee buckled as he drove the lane with 4:27 left in the second quarter against Dallas. He fell to the floor and grabbed his knee in pain before being helped off the court. The Denver Post reported that Gallinari said he heard the knee pop.
In 71 games this season, Gallinari, 24, averaged 16.2 points, 5.2 rebounds and 2.5 assists and shot 41 percent from 3-pont range.

The team announced that the three key players will not play in the road game against the Hornets. James (hamstring) and Wade (ankle) have missed the past two games and Allen (ankle) will now join them on the bench.
