Thunder acquire Ronnie Brewer, trade Eric Maynor in separate deals

The Oklahoma City Thunder acquired guard Ronnie Brewer from the New York Knicks for a 2014 second-round pick and cash.

Brewer gives the Thunder another defensive-minded player to compete for minutes in OKC's rotation. He averaged 3.6 points and 2.2 rebounds in 46 games for the Knicks this season.

The Thunder also traded point guard Eric Maynor to the Portland Trail Blazers, league sources told Yahoo! Sports.

The Thunder will receive the draft rights of Giorgio Printezis and a trade exception for Maynor.

Maynor lost his job as the Thunder's regular backup point guard this season to Reggie Jackson. He's averaged less than 11 minutes in 37 games this season.
