Morgan State 58, Maryland-Eastern Shore 45

Sophomore forward Shaquille Duncan scored 17 points, leading Morgan State to a 58-45 victory over Maryland-Eastern Shore on Saturday at Hill Field House.

Senior forward DeWayne Jackson added 15 points, seven rebounds, seven assists and three blocked shots for Morgan State (12-14, 8-6 Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference), which has won three in a row and six of its last seven.

Junior forward Troy Snyder had 16 points and seven rebounds to lead Maryland-Eastern Shore (2-23, 2-12), which has lost three in a row and 10 of its last 11.

Morgan State dominated Maryland-Eastern Shore when they met in Princess Anne on Feb. 16, shooting 59.7 percent while holding the Shore Hawks to 31.3 percent. The Bears blew that game open in the opening half, outscoring the Shore Hawks 43-24, but this one was not so easy.

The first half was closely contested and ended with Morgan State clinging to a 20-19 lead. The Bears finally created some separation in the second half. After falling behind 21-20, they mounted an 18-0 run to take control.
