LSU's Hill expected to play Saturday

LSU running back Jeremy Hill will not start this Saturday's home opener against UAB but will likely play, CBSSports.com reported.

Hill traveled with the team to TCU last week and dressed for the game, but did not play as part of his discipline stemming from an April arrest.

He is expected to back up starter Alfred Blue and second stringer Terrence Magee, who combined to rush for 184 yards with two touchdowns in last week's victory.

The Baton Rouge Advocate also reported Friday that Hill would play against UAB.

Coach Les Miles had suspended Hill indefinitely in May after he was arrested for his involvement in an April 27 bar fight. That arrest violated the terms of his probation after pleading guilty to misdemeanor carnal knowledge of a juvenile in January of 2012.

Miles considered dismissing Hill from the team but said his teammates voted to have him back.

Hill was LSU's leading rusher last season with 755 yards with 12 touchdowns as a freshman.
