LaMarcus Aldridge, Damian Lillard push Trail Blazers past Spurs

Damian Lillard scored 23 points and added 10 rebounds and six assists in a complete effort to lead the Portland Trail Blazers to a victory over the San Antonio Spurs, 108-95. Portland (19-6) has now won seven of their last 10 games.

Lillard shot 8-18 from the field (1-3 on 3-pointers) and 6-6 from the free throw line. LaMarcus Aldridge also contributed for Portland, finishing with 23 points and 14 rebounds. On 7-18 shooting from the field and 7-8 from the free throw line, Kawhi Leonard put up 21 points for San Antonio in the loss. He also tallied nine rebounds. Aron Baynes added 15 points and nine rebounds and Boris Diaw finished with 10 points and nine assists.

The clash of top-tier defenses was won by Portland. They rank fifth in the NBA in defensive efficiency this season (98.98), and held San Antonio to just .98 points per possession.

San Antonio (17-8) could not get back-to-back victories after defeating Denver on Sunday.
