Knicks F Stoudemire to make season debut

New York Knicks power forward Amar'e Stoudemire will make his season debut against the Portland Trail Blazers on Tuesday, according to Yahoo! Sports.

Stoudemire, who had surgery on his left knee in October and has been practicing with the D-League's Erie BayHawks, is ready to go after recently rejoining the Knicks.

There is a good chance that Stoudemire will come off the bench. Though Stoudemire is a six-time All-Star, there is uncertainty over how he will fit in with forward Carmelo Anthony right away. Anthony, however, is questionable to play Tuesday because of a hyper-extended knee. Anthony has missed the last two games. The plan has been to bring Stoudemire off the bench, regardless of Anthony's status.

Stoudemire averaged 17.5 points and 7.8 rebounds per game last season.
