LOS ANGELES — Hey, look! It’s two of the four horsemen of the apocalypse.

OK. Maybe that is a bit much, but when one sees a press release that reads “Justin Bieber and Patrick Kane to Play in 2017 NHL All-Star Celebrity Shootout” all the thoughts start running through your head. These are crazy times we live in.

If you’re unaware who Justin Bieber is – congratulations. Welcome back from space.

The 22-year-old platinum selling recording artist is Canadian and by birth decree a hockey fan. He tries to play as much as possible while he’s on tour. In concert, he’s been know to don the jersey of the local NHL team at the arena he’s playing.

Bieber and Kane will play on Team Gretzky. Last year, The Great One gifted the Biebs with a signed jersey, signifying their lifelong bond.

We can only assume Bieber and Kane were put on the same team to escape the inevitable ‘loser keeps Bieber’ argument when the US and Canada go head to head in anything.

They’ll be joined on the ice by other celebrities and many of the hockey players seen in the NHL100 spectacular.

Kane is the only active NHL player … oh wait. No. Chris Pronger and Kane are the only active players taking place in the celebrity game.

Bieber better keep his head up. Pronger has sharp elbows.
