Jackets re-sign Anisimov

The Columbus Blue Jackets agreed to terms on a new three-year contract with restricted free agent forward Artem Anisimov.

The deal is expected to be in the $10 million to $11 million, according to reports. He was in the final season of a two-year, $3.75 million contract.

Anisimov, 25, was limited to 35 games this past season because of injuries but still finished third on the team in goals (11) and points (18). He came to Columbus before the season as part of the deal with the New York Rangers for Rick Nash

"Artem is a big part of our team and we're very pleased to sign him to this extension," Blue Jackets general manager Jarmo Kekalainen said in a statement. "He's an extremely dependable two-way center with a dynamic skill set and we think he will be a key contributor to our club in the coming years."
