Incognito reportedly feels 'betrayed' by Martin
Indefinitely suspended Miami Dolphins offensive guard Richie Incognito feels " rel="nofollow"shocked and betrayed" by teammate Jonathan Martin, according to ESPN.
Per the report, Incognito considered Martin a friend.
Now, Incognito and the Dolphins are under investigation after he allegedly left racially-charged and threatening voice mails on Martin's phone. Martin has left the team to see counseling.
Both players' future with the Dolphins is uncertain.
"It's probably a combination of totally blindsided and a bit betrayed," the source said of Incognito. "He's shocked. He can't believe this happened and thinks it probably could have been avoided."
Per the report, Incognito regarded himself as a "tough-love older brother" to Martin.
In the voice mail, though, Incognito referred to Martin as a "half n----- piece of s---," and added, "F--- you, you're still a rookie. I'll kill you."
However, Martin played the voice mail for teammates and laughed about it, according to Dolphins players.
