HOTTEST RUMOR OF THE DAY: If it feels like there’s been a lot of stops and starts to the Brian Dozier trade rumors, that’s because there have been. Over the last three months or so, we’ve seemingly been on the verge of a trade taking place, only for his name to disappear from the rumor mill for days at a time. Now though, it appears the Twins are seriously serious about reaching a decision after requesting best offers from interested teams over the weekend.

According to FOX Sports’ Jon Morosi, the Twins are expected to make a final decision on whether or not Dozier will be traded this winter in the next week. The Dodgers remain in the mix, according to reports, but are far from a lock to land him. That’s if he’s even traded at all. [@jonmorosi]
