Hasselbeck will start at least one more game for Titans
Tennessee Titans coach Mike Munchak confirmed on Monday that Matt Hasselbeck will be the team's starting quarterback for at least one more game.
Jake Locker still has not recovered sufficiently from an injury to his left (non-throwing) shoulder he suffered in Week 4.
As a result, Hasselbeck will make his fifth start of the season on Sunday against the Bears. Hasselbeck is also expected to start the following Sunday against the Dolphins, according to the Tennessean.
But the Titans have bye after that, and Locker could return following the bye week.
"I wouldn't say [Locker] is a long ways away," Munchak said, according to the Tennessean. "He'll visit the doctors this afternoon and tomorrow morning. Hopefully he'll be able to do more. It's more of a medical deal, that they're going to allow him to do more things, allow him to get bumped around a little bit. As soon as they're not worried about that concern any longer, that they feel like the healing is far enough along, then we'll be able to get him back into playing in traffic, where he can get hit and pushed and fall to the ground."
Apparently, Locker will regain his spot in the starting lineup when he is sufficiently recovered.
