Grizzlies pick up option on Pondexter

Guard/forward Quincy Pondexter had his fourth-year contract option picked up by the Memphis Grizzlies, the team announced Wednesday.

Pondexter, who is now signed through the 2013-14 season, was selected 26th overall in the 2010 draft by the Oklahoma City Thunder, but was soon dealt to the New Orleans Hornets.

The University of Washington product averaged 4.2 points and two rebounds in 15.7 minutes in 64 games last season for the Grizzlies. He was acquired in December from the Hornets.
