Granderson to miss 10 weeks with broken arm
New York Yankees center fielder Curtis Granderson will miss 10 weeks with a fractured right forearm, the team announced. He was hit by a pitch in his first Grapefruit League at-bat on Sunday afternoon.
Granderson grabbed his right wrist and forearm after being hit by Blue Jays pitcher J.A. Happ in the first inning of the Yankees-Blue Jays game in Tampa.
Sunday's game was Granderson's first chance to play left field this spring as manager Joe Girardi started Brett Gardner in center.
Granderson belted a team-leading 43 homers last season while hitting .232 with 106 RBIs.
