Giants acquire Moscoso from Cubs

The San Francisco Giants acquired right-handed pitcher Guillermo Moscoso from the Cubs on Friday for a player to be named later or cash considerations, the San Francisco Chronicle reported.

Moscoso has not pitched in the Major League this season. He had a 7-5 record with a 3.93 ERA in 17 starts for the Cubs' Triple-A affiliate based in Des Moines, Iowa, this season.

Last season, Moscoso was 3-2 with a 6.12 ERA for the Colorado Rockies, mostly as a relief pitcher.

Moscoso will provide some starting pitching depth for the Giants.
