Here are some fun Ryder Cup odds

The Ryder Cup is a little over a week away and that means we need to take a look at some of the odds for Gleneagles.

Here's a gander:

To win

Europe: -185
U.S.: +175
Tie: +1100

I don't hate the tie here. A tie would be 14-14 and the Europeans would retain the Cup because they won it in 2012. At +1100, I could get on board with that.

To lift the trophy

Europe: -225
U.S.: +175

I'm really, really trying to talk myself into this U.S. team. They have so many Bill Simmons theories going for them, I'm afraid they might wear Grantland hats on the first day of competition.

There's the "nobody believes in us" theory which they've all but etched into the side of the plane they'll take over to Scotland as well as the "Ewing Theory," which is that when your best guy (in this case, Tiger Woods) is out the rest of the team steps up and more than fills the void.

I'm just not sure how big that void is going to be.

Day 1 winner

Europe: Even
U.S.: +135
Tie: +500

Day 1 foursomes winner

Europe: +125
U.S.: +175
Tie: +250

Day fourballs winner

Europe: +125
U.S.: +175
Tie: +250

I don't have many thoughts on these last three bets -- crapshoots, all of them. Especially on a day-by-day basis.
