MIAMI -- Terrace Marshall’s long list of scholarship offers has been in place for some time. His options range from the in-state LSU to Midwestern Oklahoma and West Coast programs like UCLA and Oregon. The four-star wide receiver certainly doesn’t hurt for opportunity.

Still, he hasn’t narrowed his option and declines to name favorites. He will, however, rattle off some schools he says are most involved in his recruitment for the time being.

I wouldn’t say they’re leaders, but the schools that I’m hearing from the most are LSU, Oregon, Miami and TCU,” Marshall said.

Marshall’s most recent video came to Miami, where he and his 7v7 team toured the UM campus prior to participating in a local tournament. His major takeaway was a sense of surprise brought on by the school’s campus.

“There are a lot of people there on campus,” Marshall said. “It’s a little small campus. I didn’t expect that. It’s beautiful. I really liked it.”

Marshall will visit LSU for the spring game this weekend and hopes to schedule more visits in the months ahead. He has not settled on destinations for such trips yet but intends to eventually tour the campus of Oregon, though, he may need to wait and use an official visit to make the trek.

Marshall understands the distance-from-home challenge that the possibly attending Oregon presents but says he is wholly unfazed by it.

“I love the new wide receivers coach there at Oregon,” he said. “I can’t wait to go out there and visit,”

RIVALS REACTION: LSU traditionally does a great job of retaining in-state talent, so they have to be seen as one of the favorites to land Marshall. Still, the Tigers have slipped in that sense in the past year and have seen more athletes commit elsewhere. It’s too early to tell if programs such as Miami and even Oregon are serious threats here.
