Ex-NBA player 'Sasha' seriously injured in stabbing

Former NBA player Pedrag Danilovic was reportedly stabbed and seriously injured during a fight early Saturday, according to multiple media reports.

Danilovic, who went by the name "Sasha" while he played in the NBA, was reportedly involved in a fight in a café in Belgrade, Serbia (formerly Yugoslavia), and suffered stab wounds to his abdomen, arms and head.

He underwent emergency surgery shortly after being rushed to a local hospital. His condition was listed in some reports as serious, while other reports did not have an indication of his condition.

Danilovic played just two seasons in the NBA with Dallas and Miami. He is now an executive of a Serbian basketball team.
