Eagles' Asomugha being evaluated for possible concussion

Philadelphia Eagles cornerback Nnamdi Asomugha was evaluated for a possible concussion after he collided with safety Nate Allen during Monday's practice, multiple media outlets reported.

Later on Monday, the team said Asomugha had no concussion symptoms, the Philadelphia Inquirer reported.

After colliding with Allen in pass coverage, Asomugha stayed on the ground for several minutes with little movement before getting to one knee.

He sustained a lip laceration and had a sore neck, the Eagles said. If he had sustained a concussion it would be his second in less than nine months.

"I didn't even see him lying there until I got up and got myself together," Allen told the Daily News. "He was talking ... It happened so fast, it was hard to tell what hit what."
