Diamondbacks call up RHP Roe

The Arizona Diamondbacks, who placed relief pitcher J.J. Putz on the 15-day disabled list Friday, made a corresponding move Saturday.

The club recalled right-hander Chaz Roe from Class AAA Reno to fill Putz's spot on the roster.

Putz dislocated his right pinky finger trying to field a ground ball in the seventh inning of Friday night's game against the Philadelphia Phillies.

Roe, 26, has had three stints with the Diamondbacks this season, going 1-0 with a 5.40 ERA in five innings pitched. He compiled eight saves and a 1.11 ERA in 25 appearances with Class AA Mobile and Reno.
