Deng, Hinrich unlikely for Game 2

Two Chicago Bulls starters, Luol Deng and Kirk Hinrich, aren't expected to play in Wednesday's Eastern Conference semifinals series at Miami.

Luol Deng and Kirk Hinrich are almost certain to miss a third straight playoff game. Deng is likely out, still recovering from a spinal tap conducted to test for meningitis. Hinrich has missed the last four games with a calf injury and remains immobilized by a walking boot. He's officially doubtful.

The Bulls won Game 1 at Miami over the heavily favored Heat with Jimmy Butler playing all 48 minutes for the third consecutive game and supersub Nate Robinson delivering key plays in critical minutes at point guard.

Hinrich said there is little functional improvement in his calf. Swelling has reduced, but Hinrich still has bleeding from what the team called an "impact injury."
