Deal to purchase Devils close to completion

A deal that would enable the owners of the NBA's Philadelphia 76ers to purchase the New Jersey Devils is close to completion but has not yet been finalized, according to the Bergen Record.

Tom Gulitti, the Devils beat reporter for The Record, tweeted that the deal by the 76ers group, headed by managing owner Josh Harris, to purchase Devils is "not 'done', but headed that way."

He added that the purchase price was established several weeks ago, but a number of other issues have to be ironed out.
