Daniel Corcino strikes out six in loss vs. Cubs
Reds pitcher Daniel Corcino took a loss Wednesday, allowing two earned runs on three hits and four walks in 5 2/3 innings while striking out six in his team's 3-1 defeat against the Cubs.
Corcino (0-1) has given up just five hits in 11 2/3 innings over his first two starts, but he hasn't been able to break through with a win. The Cubs were able to push both runs across in the second inning after the Reds took a 1-0 lead in the first. Corcino owns a 4.40 ERA, 1.05 WHIP and 13:6 K:BB ratio in 14 1/3 innings. He's not yet scheduled to start again but could slot in next Wednesday.
