As always when playing Yahoo Daily Fantasy Baseball, be sure to check the final lineups and the weather. I’m concentrating on the main slate for Wednesday’s later batch of games.

My full lineup:

SP: Jaime Garcia $38

SP: Wei-Yin Chen $34

C: Brian McCann $18

1B: David Ortiz $20

2B: Dustin Pedroia $13

3B: Travis Shaw $12

SS: Xander Bogaerts $15

OF: Mookie Betts $21

OF: Ryan Braun $17

OF: Jacoby Ellsbury $12

Garcia has a 1.19 WHIP and a .225 BAA against at home this season. The Cardinals are the biggest favorites on the board (-210), and there are few options as aces during the main slate Wednesday…Chen has been a disappointment, but he owns a 1.11 WHIP with a 4.5:1 K:BB ratio on the road this year, and he’ll be up against a Phillies offense that’s scored the second fewest runs in 2016.

McCann seems like an easy call at home against a righty at $18 at a thin position with few alternatives, while teammate Ellsbury looks cheap hitting at Yankee Stadium against a pitcher in Yovani Gallardo who’s been killed against LHB this season…Braun has a .347/.429/.583 line against southpaws this year and there are 11 outfielders priced higher Wednesday.

Ortiz has 19 homers over 230 at bats against RHP this season. He’s also posted a 1.224 OPS at home and is on pace to finish with 41 home runs and 134 RBI during his age 40 season…Pedroia, Shaw, Bogaerts and Betts are other attractive options to use Wednesday, as they are all affordable (especially thanks to the lack of expensive starting pitchers). The Red Sox own the best OPS by more than 20 points and have scored by far the most runs in MLB. The over/under for Boston’s game Wednesday is 10.5 runs, which is the highest of the day, so let’s stack Red Sox hitters against Matt Cain, who will be making his first start in more than a month (and he gave up nine runs in his only rehab start).
