Colts WR Collie out for the year

Indianapolis Colts wide receiver Austin Collie will miss the rest of the season after it was revealed Monday that he has a tear in his right patella tendon, according to the Indianapolis Star.

Collie worked his way back on the field after recovering from a concussion during the preseason. He injured his knee after making his first catch of the season Sunday in a 22-17 loss to the Jacksonville Jaguars.

The team did not immediately announce a roster move but it signed wide receiver Nathan Palmer from the San Francisco 49ers practice squad earlier in the day, according to NBC Sports' Pro Football Talk.
